Profile - Awards

Waller Hewett are a creative designer/maker partnership who produce work that crosses the boundaries between Art, design and craft; their principle aim is to develop work that playfully explores the textural, structural and dimensional potential of textile surfaces, producing artworks, products and installations that encourage haptic, surface and environmental interaction.

Our work is influenced and informed by a wide range of natural and scientific forms both micro and macro; using depth, scale, graphical repetition and pattern, together with a strong colourful playfulness to produce installations that are both visually thought provoking and engaging. We’re also very conscious of the importance of including an interactive aspect to our work be it haptic through a visitors sense of touch, visually through the use of light, shadow and movement, or environmentally as a response to outside stimuli such as wind, vibration etc.

All aspects of our work are individually designed and created in our studio in Nottinghamshire with a high quality of workmanship and finish.
